Original description: Globuligerina stellapolaris Grigelis 1977: Test small, trochoid, rounded, dorsal side a low trochospiral, ventral side involute. Two whorls, growth formula 3-4. Chambers round, tightly appressed. Sutures linear, slightly depressed. Aperture arcuate, interiomarginal. Wall coarsely perforate, thin, calcareous.
