Type images:

Original description: Globigerina conica Iovceva & Trifonova 1961: The test is small, conical, the spiral consisting of 3-3.5 whorls. The chambers in the first whorl are small, fitting closely to each other and arranged in a high spiral. The last whorl consists of four chambers, larger and more clearly outlined than the former. The sutures are slightly depressed between the first chambers and more strongly between the last. The aperture is of medium size, umbilical, extending in the last four chambers.

Entries in the Catalog of original descriptions: Globigerina conica;

Geological Range:
Last occurrence (top): within Tithonian Stage (145.01-152.06Ma, top in Tithonian stage). Data source: [copied from Chronos database]
First occurrence (base): within Tithonian Stage (145.01-152.06Ma, base in Tithonian stage). Data source: [copied from Chronos database]

Plot of occurrence data:

NB Plotting of Neptune data has been disabled on the Mesozoic pages because the dataset is both small and badly affected by a few sites with erroneous age models (our obs Huber, Petrizzo, Young, Nov 2016). The data can still be viewed via the range plottertool - tools menu.
