Short diagnosis: Test trochospirally coiled, globular chambers rapidly enlarging, four to five in each of the two to three whorls, sutures radial, depressed, umbilicus narrow to wide, periphery broadly rounded, peripheral outline lobulate; wall calcareous, hyaline, optically radial, perforate, without keel or poreless carinal band, surface with a distinct honeycomblike pattern of costellae, few to many tiny pores in each of the rectangular to hexagonal areas, and rare pores on the elevated reticulum; aperture an interiomarginai arch of varied extent, ranging from umbilical to spiroumbilical and bordered by a narrow lip.
