Original description: Globotruncana asymetrica Sigal 1952: Translated from French. A species characterized by a strong asymmetry of the test, displaying a degree of analogy with some Cenomanian Rotalipora (Rotalipora reicheli (Mornod)[Globotrucana (Rotalipora) reicheli,1950], for example).
