Rank: Species
Basionym: Hastigerinella moremani

Type images:

Original description: Hastigerinella moremani Cushman 1931: Test somewhat trochoid, but the spire very much depressed so that the chambers are for the most part in a single plane in the adult whorl; chambers in the early portion globular, later becoming more elongate, clavate, and slightly expanded toward the tip, usually finely spinose throughout, slightly more so toward the tip of the elongate chambers; aperture mostly vestral , with a slightly overhanging lip. Diameter 0.18 mm-0.25 mm; thickness 0.05-0.08 mm.

Entries in the Catalog of original descriptions: Hastigerinella moremani;

Geological Range:
Last occurrence (top): within D. concavata zone (86.71-89.91Ma, top in Coniacian stage). Data source: [copied from Chronos database]
First occurrence (base): within M. schneegansi zone (89.91-92.56Ma, base in Turonian stage). Data source: [copied from Chronos database]

Plot of occurrence data:

NB Plotting of Neptune data has been disabled on the Mesozoic pages because the dataset is both small and badly affected by a few sites with erroneous age models (our obs Huber, Petrizzo, Young, Nov 2016). The data can still be viewed via the range plottertool - tools menu.
