Original description: Falsotruncana maslakovae Caron 1981: Translated from French: Diagnosis: same features as those of the genus for which this form is the type species. Very low trochospiral test; the very flat profile is truncate even in the last chamber, lending the species its characteristic appearance. The poreless peripheral band reaches the last chamber (there, often perforate, cf. fig. 1d). The beaded double keel, not found in the last chamber, runs along the margins of the peripheral band in the remaining chambers.

Plot of occurrence data:

NB Plotting of Neptune data has been disabled on the Mesozoic pages because the dataset is both small and badly affected by a few sites with erroneous age models (our obs Huber, Petrizzo, Young, Nov 2016). The data can still be viewed via the range plottertool - tools menu.
